Summit Real Estate Group is pleased to announce that S.C. Johnson & Son, based in Racine, Wisconsin, has leased 124,432 square feet at Creekside Distribution Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The 538,500 square foot distribution center was acquired Q2 2020 on behalf of Summit’s Arrowrock Income & Growth Fund III (AIGF III). At the time of acquisition, Creekside was 58% occupied. The new lease brings the project occupancy to 100%.
S.C. Johnson & Son is a leading manufacturer of household cleaning products and products for home storage, air care, pest control and shoe care, as well as professional products. SC Johnson brands include Glade, Kiwi, OFF!, Pledge, Mr Muscle, Duck, Baygon and Raid. Other brands include Ziploc, Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, Autan, Bama, Shout, Mrs Meyers, Babyganics, Method and Ecover. The company chose Creekside Distribution Center because of its infill location proximate to Atlanta’s urban core, international airport, suburbs, and significant neighboring projects.
In addition to SC Johnson, Creekside’s tenants include Walmart and PODS. The SC Johnson lease follows Walmart’s approximate 100,000 square foot expansion at Creekside in Q4 2020.
