The Centene Community Ice Center is an exceptional 277,000 square foot, four-sheet community ice rink completed in 2019. It is located in Maryland Heights, Missouri and is the product of a public-private partnership between non-profit St. Louis Legacy Ice Foundation and the City of Maryland Heights.
The total project cost was $84 million, and operators anticipate over 1.1 million visitors annually. The development features four NHL size rinks, the St. Louis Blues training facility, Mercy Hospital rehabilitation center, the Total Package Hockey youth hockey academy, a hockey-themed restaurant, and COMA coffee service. Other tenants include Lindenwood University, the St. Louis Blues Alumni Association, and local clubs the AAA Blues and the Lady Cyclones.
The facility includes the area’s only covered, outdoor ice rink which will be convertible during the spring and summer months into a 4,500-seat, state-of-the-art music amphitheater, to be operated by Live Nation. Management of the facility will be by Spectra Venue Management.
