Making Headlines: West Creek Commerce Center Groundbreaking

One of several Summit-led ground-up development projects currently underway, West Creek Commerce Center in Richmond, VA (Goochland County), recently held an event to officially break ground on the development and introduce the project to the local and regional business community. Thalhimer, the project’s leasing team, joined Summit in hosting the event, which drew a strong turnout of commercial real estate professionals, along with Goochland County economic development officials. Summit’s Arrowrock U.S. Industrial Fund IV acquired the 23.18-acre industrial site in Q4 2025.

West Creek Commerce Center is a Class A, ±221,231 SF industrial development consisting of a multi-tenant warehouse building in Goochland County, VA, part of the Richmond MSA. Located within the 3,500-acre West Creek Business Park, the site is positioned just off State Route 288, Richmond’s western beltway, with immediate access to I-64, I-95, and I-85. The project is well positioned to serve the greater Richmond region and the broader East Coast, offering connectivity to key population and distribution corridors.

Designed to meet the needs of modern industrial users, West Creek Commerce Center will feature a Class A rear-load, multi-tenant warehouse with 32’ clear heights, a 130’ truck court with trailer parking, dock-high and drive-in loading, and approximately 2,000 square feet of office space. The building’s flexible design is expected to attract area manufacturing, distribution, and industrial services companies seeking high-quality space in a supply-constrained market. Construction began in Q4 2025, with delivery anticipated in Q4 2026.
